I joined the Department in January 2025. My role is to support researchers (internal and external) with funding applications and opportunities, as well as research-related activities such as research culture, REF and open access publications. I am also the Departmental Trusted Research lead, here to help manage risks associated with international collaboration.
In a former life, I've also been a synthetic inorganic chemist with an interest in sustainable chemistry, small molecule activation, and the structure and bonding of cool complexes. I obtained my PhD in organometallic f-element complexes from the University of Edinburgh, before going to Princeton University as an Astra Zeneca Fulbright Scholar working on dinitrogen activation. Returning to the University of Oxford in 2012, I led O'Hare group organometallic research as SCG Research Fellow before becoming Deputy Director of the SCG-Oxford Centre of Excellence in 2021. I have co-authored 85 papers and been co-inventor on 14 patent applications to date.
